The
CVT-485_422-4 is an industrial grade (wide temperature range with surge & static protection) high-speed (300 to 115,200bps) optically-isolated bi-directional RS-232 to RS-485 converter / RS-232 to RS-422 converter, which can be used to convert any standard RS-232C port into a two-wire half-duplex RS-485 port or a four-wire half-duplex RS-485 / full-duplex RS-422 port and vice versa. This product features opto-isolation circuitry, which effectively protect your RS-232 devices from ground loops, transient surges and spikes; it also supports data direction auto-turnaround. Therefore, no flow control is required.
The unit is powered from an external 9 to 30VDC power supply, so you do not have to worry about the power capability of your RS232 device.
